Michael Lake

Biography

Dr. Michael Lake completed his undergraduate and graduate training at UCLA with a B.S. in Physics, a M.S. in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics and a PhD in Chemistry and Biochemistry. His research has centered on anti-viral drug screening and quantum sensing with NV diamond defect centers. Since this time, he has worked in the Advanced Light Microscopy and Spectroscopy Lab and the Nano Pico Characterization Lab at the UCLA California NanoSystems Institute.

At the BioPACIFIC MIP, Michael manages the Living Biofoundry Facility for production and characterization of bio-inspired monomer material libraries
