Arica Lubin

Biography

As the Education Lead for BioPACIFIC MIP, Arica Lubin is working with the leadership team to create an innovative, nurturing, and inclusive professional training environment for fellows, affiliated trainees and users, and faculty and industry partners. As an Associate Director at the Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships (CSEP) at the California Nanosystems Institute at UCSB, Dr. Lubin oversees scholarly and career preparation for undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars in science and engineering. Since joining CSEP in 2010, she has collaborated with administrators, faculty and staff at UCSB and nationwide on projects to both broaden diversity in science through undergraduate early research and scholarship programs and help trainees prepare for successful and gratifying careers through graduate student and postdoc professional skill development initiatives. She received her B.S. and Ph.D., with Prof. Kevin Plaxco, in Biochemistry at UCSB.
