Gyros Protein Technologies PurePep® Chorus Peptoid Synthesizer
The PurePep Chorus system (Gyros Protein Technologies) enables synthesis of novel peptoids and sequence-specific materials that are not commercially available. The system supports a range of peptidomimetic chemistries and allows parallel synthesis of up to six sequences with real-time UV monitoring, temperature control, and oscillation mixing.
The synthesizer accommodates 10 mg to 1 g of resin per reaction vessel (RV), with 10- or 40-mL vessel capacities. It provides 27 amino acid and 8 solvent positions, which can be configured according to experimental needs. Reaction agitation can be performed using nitrogen bubbling, oscillation mixing, or a combination of both.
Supported chemistries include Fmoc, t-Boc, peptoid, and PNA synthesis. All reaction vessels can be heated to 90 °C using induction heating while undergoing oscillation mixing. Elevated-temperature synthesis can accelerate difficult deprotection and coupling reactions, helping reduce deletion sequences and improve the purity of challenging hydrophobic or aggregation-prone sequences.
The PurePep Chorus provides a flexible platform for researchers developing custom peptoids, particularly when specialized sequences or chemistries are not readily accessible through commercial synthesis.
