Sevcan Erşan is a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Junyoung Park’s group at UCLA. Her current research focuses on natural product chemistry and sustainable biotechnology. Previously, she conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Hohenheim in Germany, focusing on the analysis and technology of plant-based foodstuff. She received her PhD in biotechnology from Yeditepe University, Turkey, and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in food engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. She is experienced in agricultural waste utilization, bioprocessing technologies, and biological activities associated with phytochemicals.
